Detroit Man Arrested After Viral Video Shows Him Brutally Beating Nursing Home Patient / WATCH

Jaden T. Hayden

*A 20-year-old Detroit man has been charged with multiple felonies in the beating of a 75-year-old man at a nursing home after a graphic video of the incident went viral and even caught the attention of President Trump.

Jaden T. Hayden is facing two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, larceny in a building and two counts of financial transaction device steal/retaining without consent, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said in a new release Sunday, per the Detroit Free Press.

Hayden reportedly punched his elderly roommate, Norman Bledsoe, at the Westwood Nursing Center, around 60 times

As noted by The Sun, Hayden filmed the video showing him smiling as he brutally attacked the defenseless resident. He also allegedly stole Bledsoe’s credit cards, and reportedly beat and robbed other elderly residents at the center.

The clip shows Bledsoe trying to defend himself as Hayden grabs him by the neck and pulls him off the bed.

“This b**ch-a** n***a wouldn’t get off my bed,” he says to the camera, showing the victims’ bloody face.

Hayden reportedly lied to the nursing home staff by telling them that the old man had fallen out of bed.

Bledsoe was rushed to hospital where he was treated for his non-life threatening injuries, the report states.

A separate video also posted on social media shows Hayden launching a similar attack on an elderly victim lying in bed.

Of course, because it’s a Black man seen plummeting on a white man, Trump made time to respond to the video on Twitter, writing: “Is this even possible to believe? Can this be for real? Where is this nursing home, how is the victim doing?”

Prosecutor Kym Worthy said: “The alleged actions of this defendant are truly and uniquely disturbing. We must be able to trust our loved ones in specialty care facilities. I truly hope that the facts of this care are one of a kind.”
