*Season 2 of CNN’s “Have I Got News for You” will debut next month, hosted by “The Daily Show” alum Roy Wood Jr.
The series is an adaptation of the UK’s long-running comedy panel show and features Amber Ruffin and Michael Ian Black serving as team captains. Per CNN: “Have I Got News for You is a comedy panel show which delivers comic observations from the satirical to the surreal through the lens of a news quiz show.”
The show’s 10-episode first season premiered September 13 and is available to stream on Max. Per Deadline, notable guests included Robin Thede, Andy Richter, Mark McKinnon, Ana Navarro, Larry Wilmore, Adam Kinzinger, Anthony Scaramucci, Bomani Jones, Rep. Tim Burchett, and journalist/host Kara Swisher.
CNN announced the Season 2 renewal for “Have I Got News for You” in November. In a statement, Amy Entelis, EVP Talent, CNN Originals and Creative Development, said, “For its inaugural season, Have I Got News for You has been a welcome and lively extension of the CNN brand, and our viewers continue to show enthusiasm for comic relief on Saturday nights.”
EP Jimmy Mulville added: “We’re thrilled that Have I Got News for You has made an impact with the CNN audience and can’t wait to come back next year. I think we’ll have plenty of news to poke fun at!”
“Have I Got News for You” Season 2 will debut Saturday, February 15 at 9 pm ET/PT.
