*Princess Catherine of Wales announced she is in remission from cancer following her chemotherapy treatment earlier this year.
“It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery,” she wrote on Instagram, NBC News reports.
“As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead,” Princess Kate added “There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”
She expressed gratitude to The Royal Marsden Hospital, a leading oncology center in the U.K., for their care during her health battle. “We couldn’t have asked for more,” she said.
The princess first revealed her diagnosis in March, sharing that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy based on her doctors’ advice.

We reported earlier that the mother of three described the diagnosis as a “huge shock” in a video statement released on social media.
“As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok,” she said.
Princess Kate addressed her health issues two months after she temporarily stepped away from public life following what Kensington Palace said at the time was surgery for a non-cancerous abdominal condition.
“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous,” said Catherine, 42, who is married to the heir to the British throne, Prince William.
“The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” she added.
Her shocking cancer announcement came shortly after King Charles III disclosed his cancer diagnosis and treatment, though neither specified the type of cancer they faced.
