‘What Kind of Husband’ Like (Doug Emhoff) Grocery Shops w/His Wife (Kamala Harris) Asks Fox Simp Jesse Watters | WATCH

*Fox News host and simpleton/idiot Jesse Watters has managed to set the internet ablaze once again, this time for questioning the very nature of modern masculinity by slamming Doug Emhoff for grocery shopping with his wife, former Vice President Kamala Harris.

During a segment on Fox News Live, Watters posed the eyebrow-raising question, “What kind of husband goes grocery shopping with his wife?”

Apparently, Watters believes there are strict gender roles that dictate who gets to navigate the potato chip aisle and who should be “manning the grill” instead.

Clearly baffled by the sight of a husband accompanying his spouse for what many consider a completely normal task, Watters – according to People – sparked a wave of backlash that had social media users collectively rolling their eyes so hard they risked injury.

One sassy respondent on X (formerly Twitter) fired back, “What kind of husband does not?” — a sentiment echoed by many who were quick to remind Watters that grocery shopping is not just for those who are trying to earn a “good husband” badge.

The ridicule didn’t stop there. Comments erupted with users joking that the segment must be a prank. One wag quipped, “This has to be a skit,” as if Watters was auditioning for the role of “Out-of-Touch Husband of the Year.” It’s a refreshing twist to think a host on a prominent news network wouldn’t have the faintest clue that shared errands are part of, you know, modern partnership. How revolutionary!

For those who might think this is a new low for Watters, think again. This isn’t his first run-in with controversy. Just last year, he made headlines for his bewildering remarks about masculinity and voting. During a discussion about female political candidates, he expressed his incredulity that any man would vote Democrat, suggesting that doing so must stem from “mommy issues.” Because when in doubt, just blame Mom, right?

Watters even went as far to say: “I heard the scientists say the other day that when a man votes for a woman, he actually transitions into a woman.” Because forget societal progression; let’s just confuse male voters with pseudoscience instead.

And who could forget his infamous tire-deflation tale, where he bragged about deflating his now-wife’s tires to “get” her into his car? His revelation that this charmingly questionable tactic “works like a charm” is enough to make one question the state of romantic practices in America. Thankfully for his wife, it all culminated in a wedding, but not without a viral social media maelstrom that left many shaking heads and furrowing brows.

Watters’ grocery conundrum could have been an opportunity to celebrate shared domestic duties or highlight changing gender norms. Instead, it’s yet another moment where he reinforces outdated stereotypes that seem ripped from a 1950s sitcom. It’s almost comedic how he continually presents himself as the gold standard of masculinity while simultaneously showcasing a fundamental misunderstanding of relationships in the year 2023.

So, here we are in an age where dual-income households are the norm, household chores are shared, and the concept of partnership has evolved beyond the traditional roles of yesteryear, all while Watters sits firmly on his soapbox, proclaiming that men should just “man up” and stick to their corners. Sorry, Jesse—your “one-man show” routine isn’t going to cut it with a population that increasingly challenges antiquated ideas about gender roles.

Here’s a wild idea: how about we normalize husbands supporting their wives in every aspect of life, from grocery shopping to more serious political endeavors? Perhaps if Watters spent less time questioning the norm and more time lifting the veil on outdated attitudes, he might just discover an entirely new world of shared experiences—not to mention a whole lot less ridicule on social media.
