*Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing trial in May for allegedly hosting kinky parties involving forced participation and sex trafficking.
Prosecutors claim these events spanned state and international borders. Combs, 55, is accused of organizing “freak off” parties involving drugs, male sex workers, spiked drinks, and sexual coercion. His legal team argues that videos depicting consensual sexual activity between him and his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, refute coercive scenarios alleged by prosecutors. Ventura, who dated Combs from 2007 to 2018, has been identified as a key victim in the case.
“In arranging these ‘Freak Offs,’ Combs, with the assistance of members and associates of the Combs Enterprise, transported, and caused to be transported, commercial sex workers across state lines and internationally,” a federal indictment unsealed in September reads, per Newsweek.
In a letter to the court, Combs’ legal team highlighted nine videos they say Ventura provided to prosecutors. These recordings, the lawyers claim, depict consensual activities in a private relationship, which contradicts accusations that the music mogul retained the clips as leverage against Ventura.
“Like many Americans in the privacy of their own bedrooms, they sometimes filmed their sexual activity. These videos unambiguously show that the person alleged in the indictment to be “Victim-I” [Ventura] not only consented but thoroughly enjoyed herself,” the legal team wrote.

“There are no secret cameras, no orgies, no other celebrities involved, no underground tunnels, no minors, and not so much as a hint of coercion or violence. Far from the government’s lurid descriptions, the videos show adults having consensual sex, plain and simple,” Combs’ lawyers added.
In May, CNN released surveillance footage from 2016 captured at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, which shows Combs brutally assaulting Ventura attempting to leave a “freak off.”
His lawyers claim the footage was “edited” to portray the father of seven as a threatening abuser.
The case against Combs continues to draw significant public attention, as he also faces over 30 other lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct, all of which he denies. The upcoming trial is expected to examine conflicting narratives and evidence in detail.
