
*Clive Davis‘ annual pre-Grammy bash will be one of the few events during Grammy week, following cancellations of multiple parties due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
Davis’ star-studded gala, celebrating his 50th year as host, will take place alongside the MusiCares charity event, Page Six reports. While the guest list and performers remain a secret, Davis’ event is expected to be a major highlight ahead of the awards show.
The Recording Academy confirmed that the Grammy Awards will continue as scheduled next month. The ceremony “will carry a renewed sense of purpose… raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of the first responders who risk their lives to protect ours,” a statement by MusiCares CEO, Harvey Mason Jr., and its board chair, Tammy Hurt said, per Page Six.
Davis’ pre-Grammy bash will feature a charitable element aimed at supporting wildfire victims. The Recording Academy and MusiCares have already committed $1 million to assist music professionals affected by the fires.
NBC News reports that the Santa Ana winds have subsided in the Greater Los Angeles area, aiding firefighters in containing nearly 40,000 acres of active wildfires. These fires have claimed at least 25 lives, destroyed over 12,300 structures, and forced thousands to evacuate. While the cause of the fires is still under investigation, authorities are focusing on a specific area to trace the origin of the Palisades Fire.
