*“‘Truck Stop’ has been around for a while,” said Country music’s Brook Ellingworth about his new single “Truck Stop” (B.E. Music), to be released February 28, 2025, from his upcoming album “Roll The Dice.” “It was on my (debut) EP. Seems so long ago…it was one of the 1st songs recorded in Nashville.”
Brook was born, raised, and lives in the UK but comes to Nashville regularly because of his music and scattered performances. You would think he was born and raised in Nashville because of the classic Country sound he has. The new single “Truck Stop” is a passionate song that also showcases his vocal skills as he belts out the hook of the song.
His new project features assistance from electric guitarist Aaron Currie; acoustic guitarist Justin Weaver; drummer Robert Blair; bass guitarist Chris Autry; keyboardist Dane Bryant; pedal steel/slide guitar/resonate guitar player Andrew Ellison, and vocalists George Huxtable and Nick Reiber-Hodgson.
“I wanted the single to be big with a great melody, great hook, a fan favorite,” he stressed when I asked about how he decides on which song to release as singles.
Ellingworth said “Truck Stop” has become a fan favorite because someone left a message for him singing the new single’s hook. When you listen to Brook you can tell he is influenced by Rock-and-Roll because that Rock influences comes out when he belts out some of the lyrics in the songs.

Before “Truck Stop” Brook Ellingworth released the heart-felt “Like It Was The First Time” single. He officially debuted as a recording artist in 2023 with the EP “Dive Bars & Heartbreaks.” Since then, he has performed at sold-out venues all over the UK and the U.S. Brook confirmed to me, when I asked if his performance dates have increased since his debut, that yes, they have “picked up.” That is a sign of how awesome he is.
“We tracked seven songs in a day. Then me and Jake worked on the vocals,” Brooks said to me as he was remembering the album recording process. “It didn’t take too long (to record) because of the caliber of the people.”
“The album has 10 tracks, nine are originals. In 2023 I recorded two songs with my buddy Jake, ‘Like It Was The First Time’ and ‘Truck Stop.’…thought (“Truck Stop”) was a bit too sad and needed energy to follow the 1st single (“Like It Was The First Time”). That took a while. Last year (2024) we recorded the next bunch of songs for the album….the band was unreal,” Brook recalled.
The “Truck Stop” single is about a guy begging his girl to end her trip to Los Angeles to chase her dreams and come back home to him. It is written by Brook and Greg Crowe. It offers 10 songs, most of which were recorded at Curb Studios in Nashville with music producer Jake Burns.
“I started playing (guitar) at eight. Playing in bands at 11. As a Country soloist that came around 2017,” Ellingworth explained when I asked. “Nashville, it’s like a second home for sure. I go back and forth. I took to it and there was no looking back.” www.BrookEllingworth.com
