*Donald Trump wants voters to focus on what he says, instead of looking at what he does and paying attention to the company he keeps. Maybe that’s why he has so many political rallies and sits for so many interviews.
The salesman in him probably believes he can talk his way through any situation. After all, it worked for him in 2016: All the campaign promises he made got him elected to the highest political office in America, despite having no political experience.
In 2020 millions of Americans realized Trump was all hat and no cattle (as they say in Texas) and voted for Joe Biden instead. But once a wannabe dictator gets a taste of power he will do and say anything to stay in that position.
He will perpetuate lies about elections, about illegal immigrants and use fear of the unknown to gain support.
The trouble (for Trump) is he didn’t ‘make America great,’ when he was POTUS because he’s too busy trying to make himself great. He is older, but not wiser. However, many of those who supported him during his first administration are wiser and they claim they won’t support him this time around.
Maybe it was his role in the Jan. 6th insurrection, his 34-count felony conviction, the classified documents he took from the White House, or the Arlington Cemetery debacle, or how proud he is of the part he played in getting Roe vs. Wade overturned, or his apparent disdain for smart women that have even some die-hard Republicans speaking out against Trump. Regardless, his campaign is in quicksand. Click the video above for my take on it.
