*In a candid conversation at his sold-out comedy performance at City Winery in New York,  the iconic rapper T.I. made headlines with his bold statement about live performances. The 44-year-old artist,  known for his dynamic stage presence, revealed that he is shifting his focus and will now only perform on his own terms.

His decision comes ahead of his scheduled appearance at the iHeart Jingle Ball holiday concert in Atlanta on December 19, where he will headline alongside artists like Saweetie, Sexyy Red, The Kid LAROI, DJ Khalid, and Tinashe. However, T.I. hinted that this might be his last performance.

“I appreciate y’all for offering me my last working gig because I do not need the money anymore and I will not be performing,” T.I. stated during a recent interview. “I don’t want to do it anymore… I don’t want people to pay me to hop around and sweat for their entertainment anymore.”

This announcement comes at a pivotal moment in T.I.’s career, who has built an almost 25-year  career releasing some of hip-hop’s most popular songs and defining Trap music.  It coincides with his recent legal victory, which saw him awarded a $71 million judgment. With newfound financial freedom, the rapper expressed a desire to pursue other creative avenues.

“I’m beginning filming on a new movie Monday,” he shared. “You should expect a whole lotta writing, directing, and producing in my future!”

The legendary rapper spoke to on-air radio/TV  personality Jazmyn Summers following his hilarious performance at City Winery, where he entertained a crowd with his comedic stylings alongside his crew, the Haha Mafia. Despite facing boos in previous comedy attempts, he received a standing ovation this time around and joked about being booed on stage.

“I’m gonna continue to follow the path that God has set forth for me. Just continue my vision. Execute my vision,” he shared with Summers, emphasizing his intention to explore different forms of entertainment.

While he reassured fans that he might still perform, it would be “in a different capacity,” possibly leaning more toward comedy. “You got to wait and see,” he teased, leaving the door open for future surprises.

City Winery, the venue that hosted T.I., is renowned for its commitment to diversity and community engagement. A spokesperson from the establishment remarked, “We are dedicated to embracing diversity and strive to create conditions that provide everyone with an equal opportunity to thrive.” The winery also focuses on sustainability, using environmentally friendly production techniques for its local wine.

As T.I. embarks on this new chapter, fans and followers alike are eager to see how he will redefine his artistic expression, armed with the freedom to choose how and when he shares his talents.
