*Dawn Richard’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, has accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of witness tampering in a case involving Richard and fellow singer Kalenna Harper

The lawsuit claims Richard and Harper witnessed Diddy abuse multiple women, including his ex-girlfriends Cassie Ventura and Kim Porter. Bloom alleges that after Richard’s lawsuit dropped, Diddy contacted Harper over 100 times, but the calls ceased after Harper made a statement denying witnessing any of the abuse outlined in Dawn’s lawsuit, per ‘The Jasmine Brand.‘

“The implication is very clear. That he was reaching out to her,” Bloom said, per the media outlet. “I don’t know if he offered her something, or if he scared her, or what happened. But he’s tampering with witnesses. And then [sic] judge essentially said he needs to be behind bars because we can’t have witnesses tampered with.”

EURweb reported earlier that Richard, an original member of Danity Kane, filed a lawsuit against Combs, accusing him of harassment and sexual abuse. According to TMZ, she alleges that the abuse began when she was in her 20s during her time on Diddy’s 2004 MTV show “Making The Band.” In the lawsuit, Richard claims Combs made promises to advance her career in exchange for inappropriate favors. She details in the legal docs how he verbally degraded the women who auditioned, calling them derogatory names such as “fat,” “ugly,” “bitches,” and “hoes.”

The 41-year-old singer-songwriter claims the Bad Boy Records founder once made her rehearse for 48 hours nonstop, forcibly groped her after barging into her dressing room, and locked her in a car with tinted for two hours as she screamed for help. She was only released when her father traveled from Baltimore to New York to confront him, Complex reports.

Following Danity Kane’s breakup in 2009, Richard teamed up with Combs and Harper to form the musical trio Dirty Money that same year.In her lawsuit, Richard claims she witnessed Combs abusing his ex-girlfriend/former singer Cassie. She describes one incident in which he choked her and dragged her up a flight of stairs at his Los Angeles home. He also hurled a scalding hot pan of eggs at her in a separate violent attack. When Richard and Harper urged Cassie to leave him, Diddy said, “Y’all b*tches don’t get in my relationship. … Don’t tell my b*tch what she need to be doing … Just make money and shut the f*ck up.”

Combs also threatened to destroy both their lives and careers. “I shelve careers … You could be missing … You bitches want to die today,” he allegedly stated.

The disgraced music producer responded to Richard’s lawsuit via his lawyer, claiming he is “shocked and disappointed” by the allegations.

Meanwhile, Harper took to Instagram to share her thoughts about being mentioned in Richard’s lawsuit against Combs. Kalenna noted that some of Richard’s claims “do not align with my own truth.”

“I, acknowledge the recent lawsuit filed by Dawn Richard in which my name has been mentioned 33 times,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories on Sept. 13, PEOPLE reports. “While I fully respect Dawn’s right to recount her experiences, l want to emphasize that her account reflects her personal perspective and should not be interpreted as a universal truth applicable to everyone involved.”

Harper continued, “It’s important to understand that while I was present in some of the same professional settings mentioned, many of the allegations and incidents described in this suit are not representative of my experiences, and some do not align with my own truth.”

Speaking of her husband, the singer-songwriter added, “Tony and I have always conducted ourselves with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. We were not involved in, nor were we aware of, any behavior that could be considered abusive or unlawful.”

“As this matter is now part of an ongoing legal process, I will refrain from discussing any specific details further,” she concluded. “My focus continues to be on my same dedication and positivity that have always guided me. I trust that the legal system will handle this case with the fairness and thoroughness it requires, and I support any process that seeks to uncover the truth.”
