*Dramatic footage has emerged capturing the arrest of rapper Travis Scott at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris. The 33-year-old entertainer was seen being forcefully led out of the hotel lobby in handcuffs by three male police officers. The incident was part of a chain of events prompted by an altercation between Scott and his bodyguard.
The video begins with the recently arrested Scott being dragged through the lobby, hands cuffed tightly behind his back. Despite the chaos, Scott remains silent, ignoring questions and taunts from onlookers and paparazzi.
The video culminates with the rapper being placed into a police car, still quiet as officers secured him in the backseat.
The incident stemmed from a heated argument about local paparazzi. Allegedly, a photographer managed to get into the trunk of Scott’s car, prompting Scott to confront his bodyguard.
The confrontation quickly escalated into a loud dispute, alarming the hotel staff who subsequently called the authorities, according to Page Six.
“They were screaming at each other, and the hotel freaked out and called the cops,” an insider told the outlet. The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed in a statement to NBC that on August 9, 2024, they arrested Scott for allegedly assaulting his security guard. The prosecutor’s office added, “The security guard had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The Paris public prosecutor’s office has referred the case to the 1st district of the judicial police.”
Scott attended the Paris Olympics in Paris and stayed at the esteemed George V Hotel. His representatives have assured that they are working closely with local authorities to resolve the situation. “We are in direct communication with the local Parisian authorities to swiftly resolve this matter and will provide updates when appropriate,” a rep for Scott told Page Six.
The video ends on a slightly more positive note, showing Scott being released from his handcuffs upon entering a police van, signaling a resolution might be in process.
