*A married couple in Longview, Washington, died after stabbing and shooting each other during a violent confrontation, while their 11-year-old son was in another room playing video games with earbuds on.
The bloody incident occurred on Halloween when the child discovered his parents’ bodies and called 911, The New York Post reports. Authorities identified the deceased as Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz, 38, and Cecilia Robles Ochoa, 39, and confirmed that the couple, who planned to separate, had both been stabbed, with Ochoa also shot. Investigators found a knife and a gun at the scene but have not determined the primary aggressor.
Alvarado Saenz died from multiple stab wounds to the chest, while Ochoa was stabbed and shot, the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office said.
The boy was the only other person in the home at the time and didn’t realize what happened until he found his parents’ bodies.
The sheriff’s office said Alvarado Saenz and Robles Ochoa “had relationship issues and intended to separate.”

The firearm used “is confirmed to have been stolen from Alvarado Saenz’s employer and was not discovered to be missing until after this incident,” the sheriff said.
The family set up a GoFundMe to pay for the funerals. The couple had three children.
A message on the campaign page reads: We have tragically lost 2 members of our family and we are looking to fund their funeral and help keep the family and their three kids on their feet. Please donate what you can to the family, thank you. God bless.
