*Dang. This is certainly not a good look for Percy Miller, known to the world as hip-hop legend Master P. His son, Hercy Miller was arrested alongside two fellow players from Southern Utah University’s basketball team for allegedly stealing refrigerators from the university’s campus.
The incident led to the arrest of Miller, 24, along with teammates Brock Felder, 20, and Peter Dadson Jr., 25, on November 27, People is reporting.
According to arrest documents obtained by KTVX-TV, the three athletes are accused of taking two refrigerators, each valued at $1,500, from the loading dock of the Cedar City school’s campus bookstore. Security footage captured the trio loading the appliances into their vehicles on November 11, just days before their arrest.
As the investigation unfolded, police discovered the stolen refrigerators inside the apartments of both Dadson Jr. and Miller, while Felder had them in his garage. During questioning, Miller and Dadson Jr. claimed they believed the refrigerators had been discarded since they had been sitting on the dock for nearly a month. The affidavit noted that Dadson Jr. thought it was acceptable to take them because they appeared to be “being thrown away.”
Felder admitted to helping load the refrigerators but stated that he believed one of the other suspects initiated the theft. Following their arrest, the three men were booked into Iron County Jail and later released on November 28, raising questions about their actions.
Hercy Miller is in his first year at Southern Utah University after transferring from Louisville last season.
