*Former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville has disclosed that she has spent thousands of dollars seeking treatment for an unidentified “parasite” she claims to see moving in her face, which has caused disfigurement over the past year.
Glanville, 52, recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her health struggles, which she previosuly blamed on stress caused by her legal battles with Bravo.
“Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests. I did lab work for $10,000,” she told the outlet. “They ran every test under the sun. They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite that’s new.’”
She added, “I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize. I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”
Glanville has spent over $70,000 on treatments that only provide temporary relief. She suspects her health problems began during her trip to Morocco to film “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.”
“We had food sitting out for hours on end and some of it was meat,” she claimed. “Six months after I got back from Morocco, I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing. It started in July and we’re still here trying to figure it out.”
Glanville, who hasn’t been able to work for the past two years, said if she “messes with” the “parasite” she can see it move within her face, which she described as “tiny bubbles bursting” on her skin, per PEOPLE.
“I feel like it’s s—ing or having babies in my face,” she added.
“This is a horrible thing to say but even if it’s like a tumor, I want to know. I want to have just an answer,” she continued. “That would be amazing.”
Glanville said she is speaking out about her health because “I’m so sick of the narrative that I’m sitting around having plastic surgery all the time,” she explained to ET.
She posted a photo on X/Twitter of the facial disfigurement.
“This is why I’m sitting at home. This is why I’m not on red carpets. Because I don’t want to go out like this,” she said.
