NeNe Leakes Shares Son Brentt’s Health Update Two Months After His Stroke | VIDEO

*NeNe Leakes on Wednesday shared on her Instagram Stories updates on her son’s current health status. The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star’s son, Brentt Leakes, suffered a stroke on September 26.

In early October, she confirmed the reports that her son had been rushed to the hospital after suffering “congested heart failure and a stroke.”

Going by the updates shared by NeNe Leakes, 54, her son is recuperating well and is learning to walk again. Brentt, 23, is a club owner. In one of the clips shared, he appears in a hospital hallway, wearing a hot pink tracksuit and taking a few steps as nurses and his mother cheer him on.

Brentt was apparently just been discharged from the hospital because his mother explained that he was “walking out” after being hospitalized for two months.

“I’m so happy for you,” the reality star says. “This is so good.”

In a text post on social media, she added, “To God be the Glory.”

“Home just in time for The holidays,” NeNe also posted, before adding, “Nurses are the best.”

NeNe also shared a video of Brentt “learning to walk again” on a treadmill with a gadget meant to help keep him up. Another video shows him taking steps backward, supported by a device that helped him make the steps, while throwing a basketball and trying to improve his hand-eye coordination.

Soon after her son suffered a stroke, NeNe said that the doctors were still working to find out why Brentt had experienced such a health complication at such a young age. But she clarified that doctors had ruled out his weight as the cause of the stroke.

“They were thinking that maybe he had caught COVID and maybe he didn’t know that he had COVID,” the former Bravolebrity said back then. She explained that doctors told her that people with the Delta variant of COVID had experienced the same issues.

“We are still trying to figure it out, because if we knew the cause then obviously they could treat the cause,” she had added.
