*Bronny James, the eldest son of LeBron James, is following in his footsteps, making the dad proud. The son is rising fast, possibly on his way to the Hall of Fame.
The 18-year-old younger James is blessed with sensational skills that are likely to see him succeed his father, who is a Los Angeles Lakers superstar. The son is still in high school but has already begun to see the fruits of his efforts. He recently landed a new endorsement deal that has tongues wagging.
Bronny has now joined his dad as a member of Nike’s basketball family after the sportswear company announced the endorsement deal.
The deal involved five top amateur basketball players from other Nike-sponsored schools, but it is LeBron’s son who caught the eye of many, thanks to his name recognition and skills. Nike revealed the five signed name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals.

In a statement, Nike explained that each player was selected based on different merits.
“Each athlete is recognized as a player who is paving the way for the next generation on and off the court,” the sportswear mogul said. “These athletes push Nike to think about new ways the game can break barriers, bring people together, build community and shape the future.”
LeBron James is a four-time NBA champion. He signed a lifetime deal with Nike in 2015. Through this agreement, Nike has produced many of the star’s iconic shoes, the latest being his newest signature sneaker, the Nike LeBron 20.
Following the endorsement, Bronny released a heartfelt statement.
“For as long as I can remember, Nike’s been a part of my family,” the Sierra Canyon High School senior said in the statement. “Getting a chance to team up with them and continue my family’s legacy both on the court and in the community is wild — it really means a lot to me.”
James turned 18 on October 6, so this endorsement is a belated birthday present. The parents of James are equally happy that he has landed an endorsement deal. The father took to Instagram to celebrate the deal. The mother also took to her Instagram page to join in the celebration.
