*In this era of social media where a person can accumulate hundreds of friends they’ve never met and amass thousands of followers they can get paid to influence, it’s no wonder some of us are confused about the real meaning of a friend.
Some of us are quick to call someone a friend when we know little to nothing about the person. Even if we go to the same school, live in the same neighborhood, go to church or work with someone that doesn’t make that person a friend. They’re merely acquaintances or associates.
