*In graphic new bodycam video released by Louisville PD Thursday, Breonna Taylor’s body is shown motionless in her hallway for several minutes (her body is blurred) as a SWAT team cleared her apartment. She is then checked for a pulse before an officer repeats, “She’s done.”
According to the video shared by TMZ, one officer says of Taylor, “The female is supposedly the one that’s shot.” Her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, had already walked out and surrendered.
Upon entering the apartment, cops indicate that Taylor was down at the end of the hallway, but SWAT spent several more minutes clearing various parts of the apartment before addressing Taylor, saying … “Ma’am, can you hear us?”
One officer told another to check her pulse. The cop did so and declared, “She’s done.” Most of the SWAT members then left the apartment to make room for a medic and crime scene investigators.
Bodycam footage from a different officer shows the aftermath inside the apartment, including bullet holes, bloodstains on the walls and Taylor’s body on the floor. (Again, her body is blurred.)

New bodycam video also shows police interacting with Walker outside of the apartment after his surrender. He is seen repeatedly telling officers through tears that Taylor is dead inside, and that they did not know who was barging into the apartment. One cop responded that they had announced themselves three times.
Police, and Attorney General Daniel Cameron also insist the cops ID’d themselves as law enforcement and were, therefore, justified in returning fire on the couple.
