*EURweb sat down with R&B singer Anthony Hamilton to talk about how busy he has been staying in quarantine.

One of the things that has been keeping Anthony Hamilton busy is ADCOLOR.  Hamilton joined forces with the amazing company which is presenting its ADCOLOR Everywhere virtual event.

It is the premier organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting professionals of color and diversity in the creative industries. The organization was founded in 2005 by Tiffany R. Warren.

ADCOLOR’s goal is to create a community of professionals who support and celebrate one another, while bringing authentic, diverse perspectives to their organizations – aiding in helping companies share innovative ideas that address the biggest challenges they face in creating a more diverse and inclusive culture.

Diversity, as we know, especially in the current economic, racial and societal reckoning we are currently in, is essential in all aspects of a workforce.  ADCOLOR’s work helps to shine the light on the grave business impact on companies who do not foster inclusivity.

The ADCOLOR Motto is – Rise Up, Reach Back. The ADCOLOR process to is two-fold. First, we help individuals and organizations RISE UP by shining a light on their accomplishments and ideas. Next, we teach new leaders and would-be mentors and allies to REACH BACK by bringing others forward who deserve to be noticed and promoted.

The theme, this year, for ADCOLOR Everywhere is “Here For It.” It encourages attendees to state their intentions in the face of inequality and misrepresentation. The theme is more relevant now than ever. The last several months have been exhausting with the converging of two pandemics- with the global pandemic and the continued fight against racial injustice. This year’s theme is a call to action that states “We’ve been scared. We’ve been sad. We feel overwhelmed. But we have to be here for it. For ALL of it. Now is NOT the time to stop and rest. We must be here for it all in order to move forward. The goal of the event is to help attendees navigate the challenges and emotions of 2020 and keep us going strong in the fight for equality.”

Anthony Hamilton is definitely here for it!  His first priority is getting out the VOTE!

He is using his platform to spread the word about the importance of voting and “getting out to vote.”  He has organized food drives and with the help of ADCOLOR, he is also lending a hand to “shine the light on people of color to have access and the same exposure in the arts.”

He is helping to “make sure the opportunities are there”. He is continuing to represent for the culture!

Anthony is also one of the performers at ADCOLOR Everywhere, “lending his voice to a beautiful celebration”. Included in this celebration is; a fireside chat with actress Gabrielle Union; a mainstage session with BishopT.D. Jakes, a conversation with Wale and Angela Yee and the 14th Annual ADCOLOR Awards featuring performances by Anthony Hamilton and MAJOR.  A few other notable speakers and participants are: Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer of the Recording Academy, Valeisha Butterfield Jones; Afro-Latina singer, Amara La Negra; Civil Rights activist Tamika Mallory; and Color of Change President Rashad Robinson. It also includesa very special one night only performance by Wyclef Jean streamed live from the legendary Apollo stage. This performance will mark Wyclef’s first-ever, complete performance of his Grammy-nominated, Double Platinum debut album, The Carnival, which includes his hit singles “Guantanamera” and “Gone Till November.”
