Welcome to our newest podcast RadioScope Raw. This is where you’ll hear the unedited, untouched interviews with the thousands of artists from our RadioScope vault. These are entire interviews with the R&B singers, rappers and actors featured on our nationally-syndicated program RadioScope “The Entertainment Magazine of the Air” dating all the way back to the show’s launch from Lee Bailey’s garage in 1983.

We’re kicking things off with the Funky Dred himself from perhaps the most groove-drenched band of Black Brits since Loose Ends. Across the pond, he album was called “Club Classics Vol One.” In the states, it was called “Keep On Movin’,” also the name of its bass-driven first single that still has heads nodding to this day. Our writer sat down with the group’s founder Jazzie B to talk about their sound, being British and black, their follow-up single “Back to Life,” and much more.
