*A Ghanian preacher has left the congregation of his Florida church devastated after he shot and killed his estranged wife outside her office.

Sylvester Ofori, 35, who heads the Floodgates of Heaven International Ministries and believes he is a prophet, is being held in Orange County Jail after gunning down his wife Barbara Tommey, 27, on Tuesday (Sept. 8). The murder was captured on CCTV and happened outside the Navy Federal Credit Union.

Days before the killing, Ofori told his brother-in-law “if I don’t kill your sister I am a fake pastor” during a heated exchange, The Sun reports.

Police Chief Orlando Rolon said during a press conference on Wednesday: “You can tell that she’s trying to get inside. Unfortunately, he shoots her outside of the establishment.”

Rolon added, “You can tell that she was surprised by what was happening.”

When asked about a possible motive, Rolon explained “What I can say is that someone committed a heinous act of violence towards a loved one and there is no excuse for that.”

“We are all devastated. I have no words. I’m just devastated,” a representative for the church said in a statement. The rep wasn’t aware of “any signs there was trouble” in the pastor’s marriage.

“I’m at a loss for words right now. I can’t even think about it,” she said, remembering the pastor’s wife as “a very beautiful person, inside and out.”

During a court appearance Wednesday, prosecutors noted that Tommey’s murder was caught on video.

“Video surveillance, which shows Mr. Ofori not only shoot his wife but then stand over her body and put additional rounds into her head,” the prosecutor said.

After the shooting, Oforni allegedly walked back to his car and drove away “as though nothing happened,” according to witnesses.

His wife died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head. Her sister, Sophia Tommey, said in an interview that Ofori plotted to kill Barbara after she filed for divorce.

According to Sophia, Barbara wanted out of the marriage after she discovered Tommey joined an occult group.

“Sylvester had denounced God after he visited a shrine in Nzema and was even convincing my sister to join him. But my sister later discovered her husband had joined occult and filed for divorce,” she said.

“Barbara was the breadwinner of the family and owned all the properties; Sylvester was just a pastor so the thought of losing everything pushed him to kill my sister,” she added.
