Chadwick Boseman Private Memorial Held in Malibu – His Wife, Co-stars Attend / PHOTOS

*Photos have emerged of Chadwick Boseman‘s loved ones and friends as they gathered to say their final goodbyes to the late actor over the weekend.

They assembled at private ocean side memorial in Malibu on Saturday according to photographs obtained by The Sun.

In addition to Boseman’s wife Taylor Simone Ledward, the memorial was also attended by a number of his friends and costars, including Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke.

In the photos, you can see that Chadwick was honored with a table display that featured his photo surrounded by flowers and music from a hang drum.

Boseman died of colon cancer on August 28, four years after his first diagnosis in 2016.

“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman,” his family wrote in a statement. “⁣A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much.”

“⁣He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side,” the statement continued. “The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

The actor passed away aged just 43 at home in Los Angeles on August 28 after a private four-year battle with colon cancer. His beloved wife Taylor, whom he secretly married shortly before his death, was at his bedside alongside close family. Since the actor’s death was announced tributes have since flooded in, with praise for Boseman’s legacy and significance to millions of fans around the world following his starring role in the groundbreaking Black Panther.
