Psychologist on How Chadwick Boseman’s Death May Impact Black Children (Watch)

*Chadwick Boseman fans of all ages continue to reel from his sudden death last weekend, but it may be affecting his younger Black fans particularly hard, as most of our babies haven’t had enough years to fully understand or process the meaning of death.

Psychologist Erlanger Turner speaks to NBCU’s LX channel about the significant impact that “Black Panther” had on the lives of Black children and provides tips for coping with emotional stress due to the loss of Boseman, as well as this year’s one-two punch of systemic racism’s continued presence and COVID-19.

“It’s really important that parents have a candid conversation about the impact that this is having on their children,” Dr. Turner says.
