*Jackie Robinson’s daughter, Sharon, opened up to Access Hollywood’s Kit Hoover about the shocking passing of Chadwick Boseman from colon cancer. Sharon shared that she “couldn’t believe” Chadwick had passed.
When Sharon got the news she tells Kit, “I couldn’t believe it. I got 5,000 texts all at one time and I just turned off my phone. I was like, ‘I cannot deal with it.’ I turned off the television.”
She told Kit that she and the very private actor used to exchange text messages after he portrayed her baseball great dad in “42,” but hadn’t spoken in two years. “That was unusual and I was sort of feeling badly about it, but I thought he was just very busy.”
Sharon also added that she was sure Chadwick and her dad were having a “beautiful reunion” in Heaven.
