*We don’t know of any films or TV shows where Halle Berry has played an attorney. However, she’s about to just that in real life.
Yes, you read that correctly. She is planning to act as her own legal counsel in a divorce case against her estranged husband, actor Olivier Martinez.
Her former attorney, Marina Zakiyan Beck, A/K/A The Disso Queen (as in dissolution), accepted the change on July 30, with Berry signing off Aug. 11, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Noting irreconcilable differences, both parties are asking for joint custody of their 6-year-old son, Maceo, according to legal documents.
Berry and Martinez, both 54, filed for divorce in October 2015, after two years of marriage. However, for what it’s worth, the following year there were false reports that the divorce was finalized.
If you’re counting, this will Berry’s third visit to divorce court, following her 1993 marriage to baseball player David Justice and her 2001 marriage to R&B singer Eric Benét.
Berry also has a 12-year-old daughter, Nahla, from a previous relationship with fashion model Gabriel Aubrey.
