Brandy Bravely Speaks on Bouts of Depression & Contemplating Suicide

*Following the release of her latest album “B7,” #Brandy recently opened up with a shocking confession regarding her past mental health.

In a new interview, Brandy revealed that she has previously struggled with severe depression and even contemplated suicide.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Brandy opens up like never before and lets fans in on a part of her life that they likely weren’t aware of. She confirmed that in the past she faced severe struggles with depression that were so serious, she even thought about ending her life at one point.

She explained that things came to a head in 2006 when she was involved in a tragic car accident (she wasn’t charged with any crime) that claimed the life of a 38-year-old woman.

I [told] myself, ‘So, you’re just going to go out like this? That’s wack. You have a daughter.
