Black Cop (Ja’Quay Willams) Who Spoke Out for George Floyd Fired by Dept.

*As the world mourned the death of George Floyd and fought for justice for Black Lives, many also began to speak out against the injustices, including police officers themselves.

One particular Officer, whose story we shared after he went viral for his Tik Tok video was recently fired from duty by the Greensboro, NC Police Department for expressing his thoughts.

Former officer Ja’Quay Willams posted a video on his account where he spoke about the murder of George Floyd, and pleaded for other officer’s to not stay silent when they see a fellow officer doing something bad. He encouraged other officers to not be afraid to step in.

Speaking with Tamron Hall, Officer Williams says as a first responder it’s your duty to provide aide to someone in distress and he believes the Minneapolis police murdered George Floyd.
