*Starz is giving “Power” fans a look behind the scenes of its new spinoff “Power Book II: Ghost,” set to premiere on Sept. 6.
Michael Rainey Jr. reprises his role as teen drug dealer Tariq, who must face the repercussions of his past while adjusting to a new college environment. The freshman must figure out how to pursue his education while plotting ways to free his mother (Naturi Naughton) from prison.
Even in a new environment, Tariq’s past continues to follow him as Mary J. Blige’s drug boss Monet Stewart finds new clientele in college students. Parties, sex, betrayal, violence and drama all await the Ghost protagonist in the series premiere.
