Trump Gets Escorted Out of Briefing Room After Secret Service Shoot Man Outside White House / WATCH

*If you was watching Donald Trump give his coronavirus briefing today, you saw him being whisked out of the room due to what looked like some kind of immediate security threat.

All is well ’cause he returned a few minutes later with news that his removal was due to a shooting outside the White House.

‘There was a shooting outside of the White House and it seems to be very well under control,’ President Trump said after he returned to the briefing room a few minutes after his exit.

Trump said Secret Service agents were responsible for the shooting, which he claims occurred just outside of the property at 17th and Pennsylvania Ave.

He said he didn’t know the condition of the person who was shot and taken to the hospital.

“There was an actual shooting and somebody has been taken to the hospital.  I don’t know the condition of the person. Seems that the person was shot by the Secret Service, so we will see what happens,” he said.

Video showed law enforcement tending to the person on the ground.

Trump says he waited in the Oval Office until he got the all clear, and told agents he wanted to return for his regular Q&A.

He went back to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic — or as he still puts it, the “China virus” — and the economy.

Law enforcement is still on the scene investigating the shooting.
