After Fallon autotuned an Amazon review of a screwdriver set, Foxx turned the DVD copyright infringement warning into a summer bop. Fallon came back with an autotuned Combos ingredient list and then Foxx dropped the mic with instructions on how to spider-proof a shed.

Watch below.

Foxx, who is quarantining in his home with 15 people, revealed how he tracked down the family member who stole his private cookie stash. He also revealed that his smack talk helped late L.A. Lakers legend Kobe Bryant win his fifth championship title.

Promise Land just got BIGGER.

A post shared by Biggest Boss Rick Ross (@richforever) on

Ross celebrated the new addition to his “Promise Land” via a post on Instagram (see above). The land is located near Ross’ 45,000-square-foot mansion that boasts 109 rooms, an indoor and outdoor pool, a movie theater, and a bowling alley, per Complex

News of Ross dropping a million for the land coincides with the announcement that 19 Black families have joined forces to buy more than 96 acres near Toomsboro, Georgia – about two hours outside Atlanta.

Renee Walters and Ashley Scott, the two women who spearheaded the operation, said they were moved to take action following the police killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

The families purchased nearly 97 acres of unincorporated land near the town of Toomsboro. The area has been dubbed Freedom, Georgia, and overtime the families intend to turn it into a safe haven for Black people.

The families want Black parents to be able to raise their children in a space that is free of police brutality, as Walters and Scott explained to TMZ. Once fully operational, the pro-Black town will not exclude other groups of people from living there.

“This is our answer to breaking generational curses,” said Scott who is also a real estate agent.

“We’re planning on recycling our Black dollar between the 19 families that are a part of our organization, that’s really what Black Wall Street was about it was about that local economy, that hyper-local economy where the dollar continuously circulated before it exited,” she added.

The Pulse of Entertainment: Sought After Singer Charles Martin Goes Solo Again with Single ‘Truth’

Published

Charles Martin releases new single ‘Truth’ from upcoming sophomore album.

* “The Lord started speaking to me. That’s how ‘Truth’ came to me,” said Charles Martin, singer/songwriter/actor and member of Deitrick Haddon’s Stellar Award winning group Voices of Unity (Tyscot Records), about his new single “Truth.” “It’s important to have private time with the Lord. He said, ‘You need to be consistent.’ So I been consistent in what he want me to do.”

Martin has a long career as a vocalist for Voices of Unity and a sought after background singer whose clients have included Fred Hammond and Deitrick Haddon.

Charles said God told him to listen to certain people and do certain things. He did not understand at the time, but he was obedient or as he says “consistent.”

“I didn’t know I would get divorced or the Pastor of my church would die,” Charles pointed out. “It (Listening to God) helped prepare me. In my flesh, I can do so much.”

So Charles Martin gives up the “Truth” on his new single.

“I took time away from recording, still doing engagements and Worship & Praise. I had personal issues,” he said about the gap between his 2010 solo debut “Mary’s Son” and this single “Truth.” “Mary’s Son” garnered him a Gospel Blue Mic Award for “Male Artist of the Year.” The single “Truth” is produced by Rachard ‘Chardyroc’ Williams.

“We worked together on my last album. I’m a little older than him. We first met in our management’s office. He said, ‘I’ve followed your career for many years.’…and he said how my music changed him. He told me how he listened to ‘Chain Breaker’ (Voices of Unity) and it changed his life’,” Charles said about the single’s producer. “I do have a bigger project. Another single is coming out at the top of the year and shortly after – the project.” www.youtube.com/charlesmartinmusic

The Real (10-23-20)

*On Friday, October 23, the ladies discuss whether mothers should feel guilty for putting themselves first, especially during a pandemic.

Co-host Garcelle Beauvais gives examples of how her needs often taken a backseat for her children and how the pressures of being a mother frequently lead her to tears. She advises that self-care is absolutely necessary to be a better parent.

And, co-host Loni Love has always sworn that she would never marry again. But what if her longtime boyfriend James decided to pop the question in a public forum? Would she accept or stand her ground and just say “No!” to nuptials?

Later, Annie Potts drops in to talk about filming Young Sheldon during COVID-19, quarantining with her husband after living apart for seven years, and starting her foundation All Are One which helps those who are in dire need of assistance during the pandemic.

Take It From Garcelle, Mothers Need To Take Care Of Themselves

What Would Loni Do if James Surprised Her With a Public Proposal?

Annie Potts and Her Husband Quarantined Together During COVID-19 After Living Apart for 7 Years!

Take It From Garcelle, Mothers Need To Take Care Of Themselves

Garcelle Beauvais: We should put ourselves first! We should put ourselves first. When you’re on an airplane, right, and there’s an emergency, they say, “Put on your mask before you help someone else”, right? If, us as mothers, don’t help us out, we can’t help our kids. And I feel like, so many times, people make you feel guilty if you put yourself first. And I’m not saying be selfish and ignore the kids, altogether. But, we have to take care of us! Even yesterday. I was in my feelings. My kids didn’t want to hang out with me. I’m like, “Come on! Let’s watch a movie Let’s go for a walk! Let’s drive to the beach!” And they were like, “No. We just wanna play with our friends through video games.” And I was really offended! I’m not just here to cook and clean! Somebody play with me! Right? (Laughs)

(The Real co-hosts laugh)

Loni Love: Whoa ho! Ow!

Garcelle: So many times we put them first. I remember when they would have late baseball games or football games–whatever. They would have a break and said, “We’re really cold.” In the back of the car I had sweatshirts. I had jackets. You know, I had under shirts for them. I had nothing for me… and I was cold, too. It just goes to show you that sometimes we do a disservice to our kids and let them think the world revolves around them. And it doesn’t. I’ll even tell you this, at Christmastime when Santa buys presents for them, Santa buys presents for me, too, because I want them to know that Santa loves me, too! It might be a little more expensive than they would buy, but, you know.

(EDIT)

Garcelle: When my kids were toddlers, sometimes I would turn on the shower in the bathroom and cry. Because I just felt overwhelmed or tired. I didn’t know how to handle it. I would turn on the shower so they wouldn’t hear me and bawl and put it back together and I’d come out.

(EDIT)

Loni: How did you get out of the situation, like you would cry? Was that just a release for you? Is that what you were saying?

Garcelle: Yeah. Sometimes it was just a release. Sometimes it was like, I’m tired and they’re both crying at the same time. And then other times, you know, I would call a girlfriend and say, “Hey, could you come over and watch the boys just so I can take a nap or just so I can go outside and take a walk. Just to, you know, take a bath. Anything.”
