Robin Givens Hopes She’s Not Portrayed in Jamie Foxx’s Mike Tyson Biopic [VIDEO]

*Back in 2014 it was announced that Jamie Foxx had been cast to play Mike Tyson. Last month, the actor confirmed that the movie is now in the works.

“It’s a definitive yes,” said Foxx while on Mark Birnbaum’s Instagram Live series “Catching Up.”

“Look, doing biographies is a tough thing,” he said, per TMZ. “Sometimes it takes 20 years to get them done. But we officially got the real ball rolling.”

The Oscar-winner said he’s excited to show audiences the “different lives” of Tyson.

“We want to show everybody evolves,” Foxx said. “I think when we lay the layer of Mike Tyson in this story, I think everybody from young and old will be able to understand this man’s journey.”

But how does Tyson’s ex-wife Robin Givens feel about the biopic?

“It’s a little, hm, I don’t want to say bothersome but it’s funny in life how you’re always kind of learning and growing and healing and that wasn’t like a fun ex for me,” she told Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM Radio show.. “I had a good friend of mine — we’ve been talking about this — I went and got the book that he wrote and I was reading it and there were so many things that are so not true that it’s hard not to feel deeply disturbed by it, you know what I mean?”

Givens and Tyson married in 1988, but she filed for divorce just eight months later. In an interview with Barbara Walters, she said being married to the famed boxer was “torture, pure hell.”

When Cohen asked whether she hopes she’s not in the movie at all, Givens said, “Of course” — adding, “the absolute truth would be absolutely yes.”

“You know what term you hear a lot recently, ‘My truth,’ I hear that term. For me, I kind of believe truth is truth,” she continued. “It’s Monday, 7:45 Pacific Time, there are certain things that are true and not true. And for somebody to take history and repurpose it or write what they want is so deeply upsetting to me. I don’t want to get bogged down in that … I think just to be able to lie … you throw enough mud, it sticks. We’re living in this time now where people can say all kinds of things and if you say it loud enough, people believe it.”

When Cohen suggests she reach out to the film’s producers, Givens noted that #MeToo movement has made it so that she’s not have to do that.

“The climate’s been changed, so you have the #MeToo movement and things that used to be acceptable to do to women or say about women, I don’t think are necessarily acceptable now,” she said.

“I think to be on the other end of what I’ve experienced and to have somebody say, ‘The best punch I ever threw was against Robin and she bounced one wall to the next and was out,’” she continued, repeating a quote from the book “Fire and Fear: The Inside Story of Mike Tyson” attributed to Mike. “I’m literally praying that those things, we’re in a climate where it’s not acceptable, it’s not rewarded, it’s not congratulated and that’s something that truly means a lot to me.”

When Givens spoke with Bevy Smith about the biopic, she noted “what happened to me gave me a voice — not only for myself, but for other women that were in my position.”

She also stressed once again that “men can’t brag about hitting women any longer and call them names or where the victimizer becomes the victim.”

“I think it’s just a different climate, I hope so and I hope the movie reflects that,” she added. “We don’t let the victimizer get away with now becoming the victim.”

Mike Tyson – Lil Boosie

*Poor Lil Boosie. Like they say on the streets, he ain’t see it comin’. No he didn’t. Dude had no clue that Mike Tyson, of all people, was gonna blow his mind.

All Tyson did was brilliantly ask the Louisiana rapper something that social media has been asking him for years,  but of course it was never to his face and it came via a physical force that’s also intimidating.

Anyway, Lil Boosie, as you know (if you follow him) has VERY STRONG opinions on gay and transgender people. Remember the incident not too long ago where damn near demanded that  Dwyane Wade not cut off his son-now daughter’s penis.

With no hesitation, Tyson incisively and quietly  asked Boosie is it possible he is a “homosexual” and that is why he lashes out.

Boosie stuttered a bit before answering.

Below is the full interview followed by some of the Twitter reactions.

As you can from the very dramatic before and after Instagram pics below that the “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” rapper put the work and dedication in to make a remarkable change in his body and no doubt, his mind.

Rudy Houston - Lana Houston (Twitter)

*In the late 1980s, Rudy Houston was a well-recognized and talented model and dancer, perhaps best remembered as the leading man in Janet Jackson’s “What Have You Done For Me Lately” video.

He was the guy that women went crazy over because of his looks and dance moves. Houston was also the man who singer Pebbles was asking in her song, “Mercedes Boy,” if he wanted to ride with her in the song’s video, released in 1988.

While Rudy Houston was his name back in the day, today, he is a she…and goes by the name Lana Houston.

And according to Lana Houston, she is now “all-woman” in every sense of the phrase.

Her sex change journey has been a long road, which for the most part, remained out of the media’s broad reach, until now because Houston is back and wants the world to know.

“Yes, it is true that I have transitioned from male to female,” Houston said in a statement that appears on I Love Old School Music’s website. “I began my transition from male to female in 1995. I needed time away from the entertainment industry to find my inner peace and embark on my intense and wonderful journey to womanhood. I am finally at peace. I am currently residing in L.A., where I work as an artist painting portraits and abstracts.”
Houston said she is grateful for her sex transition and to have fans. She is also looking for songwriters and music producers to collaborate with.

“Thanks to all those who were concerned about my whereabouts,” Houston said. “I’m back from the ‘dead.’ ”
