*(LOS ANGELES) Top rated performing arts school, White Hall Arts Academy is continuing to break barriers for its performing arts students with the recent announcement of a partnership with leading audio software technology company, Izotope, to build a music production and learning computer lab at its South Los Angeles headquarters.
After receiving a $25,000 grant from The Lewis Prize for Music fund in June, White Hall Arts Academy also committed to paying it forward in a collaboration with local non-profit organization, Friends of the Children – Los Angeles. The program will provide $10,000 worth of instruction in voice, instrumentation and stage performance. WHAA will also be able to make referrals to FriendsLA for enrollment in their long-term mentorship program for systemically disadvantaged youth.
Recognized as a Top Music School by ThreeBestRated.com for three consecutive years, White Hall has become a breeding ground for young stars. Tanisha and her team of instructors teach on average 100 students per week ranging from little kids up the street, to television stars and recording artists such as Sierra Capri, Sanai Victoria, Paloma Ford, Ant Clemons and many more. Her students have appeared on all national talent competitions American Idol, The Voice and America’s Got Talent.
The school has been conducting a robust offering of virtual Music 4LA summer classes, where students were able to enroll in as many classes as desired. Saturday classes are currently running on Zoom from July 11 – August 8, 2020. Instruments were donated to children who can not afford to purchase them. The staff also volunteers time to teach music classes at local Crete Academy, a non-profit charter school aimed at serving students experiencing homelessness.

WHAA periodically offers a Songwriter Series that includes industry mentors such as Ant Clemons, multi-platinum selling and Billboard-chart topping songwriter; Yaasiel “Success” Davis, Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records; Recording Artist Paloma Ford; and Grammy winning songwriter Carlos “Jackie’s Boy” Battey.
Tanisha Hall’s thriving career in entertainment includes work with Warner Bros. Records and Edmonds Entertainment Group and many more. She previously managed special events for Chaka Khan’s non-profit program, the Chaka Khan Believes, and operations for Harris Productions, the in house production company for Grammy winning musician and record producer Keith Harris (Black Eyed Peas, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey) before devoting her time to the White Hall Arts Academy in 2011.
