*A new trailer for Beyonce’s feature film “Black Is King” was revealed on her Instagram page Wednesday ahead of tonight’s midnight debut on Disney Plus.
The film is composed of music videos for songs from “The Gift,” an album Bey executive produced as a companion to the 2019 live-action remake of “The Lion King,” for which she voiced the role of Nala. She delivered a similar project in 2017, with the Peabody Award-winning album “Lemonade” as both a record and a video compilation celebrating black female liberation.
“Black Is King,” according to Variety, “promises to be a bold visual celebration of Black culture through the ages.”
