*Angela Yee has opened up about her interview with August Alsina, claiming he was respectful while dropping the tea about his past sexual relationship with married actress Jada Pinkett Smith.
In an exclusive interview with theJasmineBRAND, the radio personality said Alsina told his truth to heal his broken heart.
“I think the main thing was- let’s not forget this was somebody who thought they were in a situation, and his feelings were hurt. And you can’t negate that someone’s feelings were hurt, and they wanted to tell their story.
She added, And I feel like there’s so much more he could’ve said, and the details are still kept private. The fact is, they were in an entanglement – or whatever you wanna call it – and it is what it is. Will knew about it. It wasn’t a secret. He wasn’t messing up their marriage. August went through a lot…if that’s what he had to do to heal himself- to tell the world, ‘This is what happened to me,’ then it is what it is.”

Pinkett Smith admitted during a recent episode of her “Red Table Talk” series that she had an “entanglement” with the singer about four years ago. Joined by her hubby Will Smith on the show, the couple claim the affair occurred while they were separated.
“‘Red Table Talk’ is known for telling the truth about things. And so, if this is part of your truth, then you should tell it,” said Yee of the episode. “It was the best-rated show they ever had on Facebook Watch! The biggest episode they ever had!…I think he was very respectful in the way that he told the story. He wasn’t like, ‘F*ck that h*e!’ He was just like, ‘I was in love. I had deep feelings.’ She probably didn’t have a choice…”
Yee noted that the Jada August situation is “a lesson learned for everybody.”
“And also, I just wanna say people have all types of situations when it comes to their relationships and their marriages. They have times where they take a break, and things happen…none of this should be a surprise,” she added. “For some reason, it’s such a big story. I didn’t think it was gonna be as crazy as it was…I think everybody knew they were in this relationship. It was not a surprise.”
