Princess Love Requests Dismissal of Her Divorce from Ray J

*Princess Love is not quite ready to call it quits with husband Ray J.

The reality TV star has reportedly filed for a dismissal of her divorce from the singer, two months after she initially took legal action to end their marriage, PEOPLE reports. 

Ray J and Princess tied the knot in 2016.

Back in May, Love, 35, filed papers in LA County Superior Court, TMZ reported. She and Ray J had already been living separately after their epic Las Vegas meltdown last year, in which Love accused him of abandoning her and their daughter following a blow up the BET Awards.

Following the incident, Love said she had no desire to be married any longer and Ray J was photo’d out and about without his wedding band.

A rep for the couple told PEOPLE at the time, “It’s a very difficult time for both Princess and Ray J and we are asking that we just let them have their privacy as they work through and deal with this very trying situation.”

The pair welcomed their second child, son Epik Ray Norwood, on December 30. They also share two-year-old daughter Melody Love.

Weeks after Princess filed for divorce, Ray J noted in a virtual press conference that he was happy to be “back with the kids.”

“Over these past few months, though, I’ve been at the studio locked in. I was at the studio right around when everything got locked down. Before I came home, I had to quarantine for 14 days. My wife has been supermom, and she wasn’t having that so she just wanted to make sure that I was good. We’re taking it one day at a time,” he said. 

Ray J also gushed about being reunited with his family to celebrate Melody’s birthday in May. 

“For us to all spend time together, talk and just be parents, I think a lot of things unfold from that,” he shared. “That’s a good start for us, just spending time with the kids and making sure that Melody has a great b-day. Through all of that, we can listen and understand each other. Right now we’re just locked in with the parenting. God is good.”

Love was recently keeping Ray J at a distance via quarantine — and monitoring his activities via Instagram. Page Six reported that he was living out of a hotel 10 minutes from their LA home before she would allow him to see the children.
