RADIOSCOPE REWIND: Jodeci Talks About Their 3rd Album, Bad Boy Image & More | Listen!

Jodeci
Jodeci’s third album, released July 1995

*By the summer of 1995, R&B group Jodeci already had two albums under their belts, three number one singles – “Forever My Lady,” “Stay” and “Come and Talk to Me – and an unmistakable “ooh yeah” calling card.

The two sets of brothers from Charlotte, North Carolina were living their best lives and enjoying the lifestyle that comes along with being young and successful. Their third album, released in July 1995, described the situation perfectly: “The Show, the After Party, the Hotel.”

Siblings K-Ci and JoJo, and siblings DeVante Swing and Mr. Dalvin spoke to RadioScope about the new album, their rising stardom and why becoming known as the “bad boys of R&B” didn’t sit too well with them.

Let’s rewind to the weekend of March 3, 1996 for this Radioscope moment with Jodeci!

FACTS: “The Show, the After Party, the Hotel,” with the Top 40 hits “Freek’n You”, “Love U 4 Life” and “Get on Up,”  reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200, making it their highest peaking album release. It soared to the top of the U.S. R&B Albums chart.  By September 1995, the album had reached platinum status with over a million units sold.
