Missouri Man Who Sucker Punched Dancer in Viral Video Turns Himself In

*The man caught on camera sucker punching a 12-year-old boy dancing on a sidewalk that was caught on camera turned himself in Wednesday to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office in Benton, Missouri

According to TMZ, Cedric Charles Moore Jr. has been charged with felony assault in the second degree and felony child endangerment in the first degree. 

His bond is set at $50k cash only.

Sergeant Joey Hann with the Cape Girardeau PD said he “hopes that this  arrest offers a sense of peace and security to the young victim and his family. Our department would also like to thank the large volume of information we received from the public on Cedric Moore. Your concern for decency and your tips on his whereabouts left this violent suspect with nowhere else to hide and helped to lead to his peaceful surrender.”

The victim’s mom, Stephanie Hagler, hopes nobody posts Moore’s bail.

“I appreciate the police department for taking the case so seriously, and I know my son appreciates it too,” she tells TMZ. “I don’t think I will feel any relief until he is arrested. As of now it’s just words on paper there hasn’t been any real consequence.”

Moore turned himself in after going viral for Friday’s unprovoked attack on the kid named Ethan

Cops were able to ID Moore after seeing the video.

Cape Girardeau PD said an initial search of his home and local hangouts put them no closer to finding the suspect earlier this week. Officers also claimed Moore’s friends and family refused to cooperate with the manhunt.

Hagler tells TMZ that more than 400 people — family, friends and strangers alike — have raised more than $14,000 so far to cover Ethan’s medical bills and tuition at the Fingerprint Urban Dance Studio, in Cape Girardeau, MO. 

Stephanie also shared that her son fears someone may try to hurt him again, but the “overwhelming support from friends and community members has been making Ethan feel better,” she said.
