*Former NBA player Stephen Jackson is defending Philadelphia Eagles star DeSean Jackson over his controversial Instagram post that was widely criticized as anti-semitic. As previously reported, DeSean posted to his Instagram story, “The Jews will blackmail America. [They] will extort America, their plan for world domination won’t work if the Negroes know who they were.”
The wide receiver received a mountain of backlash over the quote, which was said to be from a book purportedly taken from Adolf Hitler. The Eagles responded with a strong statement condemning their player’s post, and Stephen Jackson was not happy about it.
He ripped the squad for being quick to call out DeSean’s comments as anti-Semitic, while saying nothing regarding racism against black people. He even brought up the 2013 incident when former Eagles player Riley Cooper publicly said “nig**r,” which he said the team did nothing about. Stephen Jackson also said that DeSean was “speaking the truth.”
“You know he don’t hate nobody. But he’s speaking the truth of the facts that he knows, and trying to educate others,” S. Jackson said. “But y’all don’t want us to educate ourselves. If this was talking about the black race, y’all ain’t saying nothing about it.”
