Splash Mountain’s Racist Heritage Being Replaced with Disney Black Princess

*Disney has been taking many steps to be more diverse amidst protests for Black Lives following the murder of George Floyd, and now they’re transforming Splash Mountain, one of the longest standing rides at Disneyland.

The ride was originally themed around Uncle Remus Br’er Rabbit’s story from Disney’s controversial 1946 movie “Song of the South.” It will now be turned into “The Princess and the Frog,” which is one of Disney’s black princesses.
