*This is what Black Lives Matter protesters had to deal with in Philly recently, a cadre of drunk, white Trump supporters shouting “Four more years,” racially insensitive insults like “boy” and claiming to protect their neighborhood.
The group grandstanded while standing behind a line of bicycle cops. One of the men punched the videographer, sending the camera to the pavement for a few seconds. The cameraman, Meldcole, explained: “I was sucker-punched in the jaw by a racist white man while documenting a protest in South Philly at Maroni Plaza, where a Columbus statue stands. Update: I’m fine. His lil punch was as weak as he seems. I’m pressing charges. I will not let him get away with it.”
A beer-toting man was later shown trying unsuccessfully with his foot to erase a “Black Lives Matter” message written in chalk on the ground. Pointing to the cops, he says “These are the guys that matter, right here.”
