*NeNe Leakes says a report about her being fired from “Real Housewives of Atlanta” is simply not true.

Meanwhile, sources exclusively tell lovebscott.com that Leakes has not been asked to return for season 13 of the hit Bravo series.

Here’s more from the outlet:

Pickup letters went out last Friday via emails to each of the ladies’ representatives and NeNe did not get one. Eva Marcille already announced she isn’t returning.

It’s not surprising, considering NeNe’s tumultuous few years with the network, producers, and fellow cast mates.

NeNe started off season 12 suspended following her physical altercation with one of the cameramen in season 11.

Then, during the season, she popped off on a producer and walked off set while filming in Greece — in addition to not appearing in other episodes.

She also walked off set multiple times during the season 12 virtual reunion.

Not to mention, she’s been not-so-subtly threatening to sue the network.

We’re told the final nail in the coffin was NeNe’s recent Twitter episode in which she retweeted a call for ‘Real Housewives’ executive producer Andy Cohen to be fired.

NeNe’s rep and publicist contacted lovebscott.com and asked that the post be removed, but the outlet refused.

Meanwhile, Leakes is shutting down rumors that she was not offered a spot on the upcoming season.

“It is absolutely not true that Nene has been fired from RHOA,” Leakes’ manager, Steven Grossman tells PEOPLE. “Furthermore, it was made abundantly clear prior that she will always be welcome on the series as long as she wants to be.”

Grossman said they are “having on-going bigger picture conversations with NBC Universal and have not made any decisions regarding next season specifically. Any speculation or sources trying to create controversy by stating otherwise are incredibly inaccurate. Bloop.”

According to the B. Scott report, the network (as well as NeNe’s manager and publicist) reached out and apparently they have an issue with the word “fired.” An official statement from Bravo reads: “There is no truth to Nene being fired and conversations are ongoing.”

The report goes on to say that NeNe was not offered a new contract and is attempting to play “the race card” in effort to get her job back.

“There is no truth to this story- NeNe was not fired and conversations for the next season are still ongoing,” a spokesperson for Bravo tells PEOPLE.
