Elderly Man Pushed to Ground by Buffalo Police Suffered Fractured Skull, Can’t Walk

Martin Gugino

*The elderly man who was shoved to the ground by Buffalo police officers during a BLM protest suffered a fractured skull and, for now, is unable to move around.

Martin Gugino’s attorney, Kelly Zarcone, says the 75-year-old was released from ICU last week, but remains hospitalized and he can’t walk. TMZ reports.

“He is starting physical therapy today, which is definitely a step in the right direction,” Zarcone said. “As heartbreaking as it is, his brain is injured and he is well aware of that now.”

Adding, “He is looking forward to healing and determining what his ‘new normal’ might look like,” the statement concludes.

In a statement released through his attorney, Gugino said “I think it’s very unnecessary to focus on me. There are plenty of other things to think about besides me.”

In the now-viral video (see above), Gugino is seen stumbling to the ground after being violently pushed by police.

Two officers were suspended over the incident. Robert McCabe and Aaron Torgalski pleaded not guilty to second-degree assault and remain suspended without pay.  57 other Buffalo officers resigned from the Emergency Response Team in solidarity with them.

President Trump suggested that Martin was an “antifa provocateur” who was looking to cause dissent and chaos when he approached police. Gugino’s lawyer shot down this ridiculous theory.
