Family of Rayshard Brooks Call for Peaceful Protests, White Woman Wanted for Setting Fire to Wendy’s [VIDEO]

*The family of Rayshard Brooks is speaking out for the first time since his death by the hands of an Atlanta police officer on Friday.

Brooks, 27, died from 3 gunshot wounds to the back during an altercation with police at a Wendy’s parking lot. He succumbed to his injuries after undergoing surgery.

His death has been ruled a homicide, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Immediately following Brooks’ death, protesters took to the streets to demand justice. His family held a press conference on Monday, calling on demonstrators to be peaceful “because we want to keep his name positive and great,” said Brooks’ widow Tomika Miller

“I just ask that if you could just keep it as a peaceful protest that would be wonderful, because we want to keep his name positive and great.” Miller said.

She added, “There is no justice that can ever make me feel happy about what’s been done. I can never get my husband back. I can never get my best friend. I can never tell my daughter, ‘Oh, he’s coming to take you skating or swimming lessons.’ So, this is going to be a long time before I heal. It’s going to be a long time before this family heals.”

Brooks’ cousin, Tiara Brooks, told reporters, “We’re tired and we are frustrated. Most importantly we’re heartbroken, so we need justice for Rayshard Brooks.”

Officer Garret Rolfe, who fatally shot Brooks, was fired on Saturday, and pro-Trump fanatic Candace Owens is trying to raise money for him.

Meanwhile, Atlanta police are looking for a woman wanted for setting fire to the Wendy’s that Brooks was shot outside of.  The department posted a tweet Sunday showing a photo of the suspect, who appears to be white, and dressed in black with her face  covered.

“@StopCrimeATL is offering a $10,000 reward for information on the individuals responsible for starting a fire that led to the destruction of a Wendy’s restaurant at 125 University Avenue,” the department said in a tweet that included three photos of the suspect.

The police also linked to a Twitter video of a suspect in action.

“Look at this white girl. Look at the white girl trying to burn down the Wendy’s. This wasn’t us,” a man filming the arson said in the video.
