Beyonce: Singer Reportedly Negotiating $100M Deal with Disney

Beyonce

*Beyonce is reportedly negotiating a $100 million, three-movie deal with Disney, and one of the first projects could be the soundtrack of “Black Panther 2.”

According to thejasminebrand.com, an insider said spilled: “Disney [has] put forward a deal worth around £80million, which will secure Beyonce for three major projects, including the Black Panther sequel. Beyonce has become a major player for Disney and is the perfect fit for their brand.”

The source continued, “She’s worked on a number of projects for them, including voicing Nala in the reboot of The Lion King, and now they’re keen to secure her for more projects.” Adding, “As part of the deal they are also trying to get her team to agree to have Beyonce voicing some of the new documentaries coming to Disney Plus.”

Rumors of Beyonce’s potential deal with Disney began swirling last year, the outlet reports. One insider said at the time, “Beyonce’s deal with Disney for The Lion King was one of the biggest it has done to date. Now they want to expand it by giving her free reign to create her own movies under the Disney umbrella. The conversations are ongoing but it’s an exciting proposition.”

Speaking of “Black Panther 2,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige shared with BET last July that director Ryan Coogler was in the beginning stages of writing the script for the sequel.

“Black Panther,” which starred Chadwick Boseman as the titular hero, grossed $700 million domestically and more than $1.3 billion worldwide. Feige revealed back in 2018 that Marvel was exploring where the sequel could go even while working on the first film, saying, “We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one.”

“One of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on a part one and talking and dreaming about what we would do in a part two,” Feige said. “There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first ‘Black Panther.’ We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one.”

Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira and Letitia Wright are expected to return for BP2.
