*George Floyd, the black man, whose cruel public death at the hands of a white policeman and sparked a movement, will be laid to rest in his hometown of Houston today in a private funeral service.
The home going service is being held for Floyd at the Fountain of Praise Church where family and friends are paying their final respects.
Floyd’s body will then be carried home in a horse-drawn carriage and laid to rest next to his mother at the Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland.
