NYC Socialite Claims Video of Her Going ‘Karen’ on Black Woman Was Edited to ‘Make Her Look Racist’

*The NYC socialite Svitlana Flom at the center of yet another Karen-ing episode is speaking out after she claims a viral video was edited to make her “look racist.” 

As earlier reported… on Saturday in New York, on the Upper West Side, Flom, who is pregnant, was recorded on video by a Black woman (Janae Garcia) who she had called the police on multiple times.

Flom, 34, can be heard telling officers she was being ‘threatened’ while footage, just like the one of “Central Park Karen,” shows she’s straight lying to the authorities.

The interaction took place between 6:15pm and 7:31pm near the Waterline Square area of the UWS, around 60th and West End Avenue, according to IlovetheUpperWestSide.com.

Garcia, (whose social media handle is @_brownsugarbaby), appeared to be minding her own business and is heard telling Flom that she in the neighborhood because she lives in the neighborhood.

According to her Instagram post, it all started because Flom thought she was smoking in public. The post says she ended up calling the police at least three times. By the third call, Flom told the police the woman was “threatening her & her children.”

Flom is even heard telling the police that the woman is “playing the black card.”

Svitlana Flom is married to Gary Flom, an automotive retail magnate.

At one point, Svitlana even asked Janae to walk with her to the police station. 

According to The YBF, Svitlana’s husband – Gary Flom – was with her but left her there as she stayed on the phone with the police.

From 6:15pm – 7:31pm this woman, Svitlana Flom, artdefete felt the need to not only approach me but call the cops MULTIPLE TIMES ON ME!! She was too “Alarmed” that I was sitting “comfortably” in “her neighborhood!” The first call was because she THOUGHT I was smoking in public.. but by the 3rd call, it was bcuz I was “threatening her & her children !!” While giving my description, she exaggerated her story & made it seem like I was the aggressor. “THIS AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN IS ATTACKING ME AND MY CHILDREN!” She had tears that were off & on & she stated things like “She’s pulling the black card!” Then wanted me to walk to the boys w/ her ??‍♀️? Svitlana – who co-owns restaurant Maison Vivienne spoke to Page Six about the incident and claims Janae edited the videos to make her look racist.

Here’s what Page Six is reporting: 

But Flom — who’s pregnant and was visiting the park with her kids — alleges that the face-off began when she “told [Garcia and a friend] they’re not supposed to be smoking [weed] and [Garcia], jumped off [her seat], ran in my face. She didn’t care I was pregnant, or that I had two little kids.”

Flom claims Garcia called her a “bitch” and ranted aggressively at her. She said that she called the police not because of the weed, but “about the woman being in my face.” Flom added that Garcia recorded for 45 minutes, but only posted “tidbits” of the tape.

“She put her narrative on it to make me look like a racist,” she claimed. “She twisted the entire thing like she’s some poor girl sitting alone on a bench and I’m white trash, harassing her for no reason.” She demanded that Garcia “post the whole” video unedited.

Flom said she woke up late Saturday night to threats, including a text message seen by Page Six that read, “We will decapitate your red neck a** b *tch!”

Svitlana is catching major heat over the incident, so she has now made her IG account private.
