WATCH As 2 Students Get Terrorized by Those Now Fired ATL Cops

*Some immediate justice has been served as far as the Atlanta couple roughed up and snatched from their car and tased by police while trying to leave a protest.

That justice has come in the form of two ATL cops being fired by Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.

It would seem the mayor’s action was justified based on bodycam footage of the incident that’s been released by the Atlanta Police Department. The video shows just how chaotic and scary it was Saturday night for the 2 college students (Messiah Young and Taniyah Pilgrim) as they were being swarmed and attacked by the cops. The officers smashed the windows when the couple didn’t immediately comply with their commands to exit the vehicle, and then they fired their tasers on them.

The young woman can be heard shrieking as she’s violently ripped from the car, and eventually … they get the guy out too and put both of them in cuffs and lead them away.

Even though the cops have been fired, it’s still unclear as to why the cops were so agitated. There’s speculation that it was because the couple was out past curfew. Others think it was because they attempted to drive around a cop when ordered to stop. No matter what it was, the resulting action by the officers was waaaay too much as far as the mayor was concerned and now two cops are no longer cops. Just like that. Three others were sent to desk duty, by the way.

Mayor  Bottoms said she understands the police are under distress, but they still have a responsibility to not blow situations out of proportion. And in the case of Young and Pilgrim, all they (the cops) had to was nothing, but they chose to go apesh*t on them and we see how it turned out.  The mayor determined it to be a clear case of “excessive force.”

And as far as the students/couple, even though Messiah Young was initially arrested Saturday night, both will no longer face charges. and the case has been dropped.

HOWEVER, don’t be surprised if those two cops, the APD and the city is named in a lawsuit in the coming days/weeks.
