*The poignant song performed by 12-year-old gospel singer Keedron Bryant was written by his mother after she prayed and mediated about the death of George Floyd.
“When I heard Mr. Floyd call out for his mom, as a black mother, that really hit me in a deep way,” Johnetta said during an appearance with her son this morning on Today. “I went into prayer … and God gave these words to me.”
Keedron said, “I felt sad that I have to sing that,” and sanga portion of “I Just Want to Live” live from their home.
