*During these uncertain times, the community needs to know that their city cares about them and is willing to show their support. Military veterans have contributed greatly to American society. They have been first responders on battle fields and here at home during times of war and peace.
As a show of compassion to local veterans in greater Los Angeles, 10th District Councilmember Herb J. Wesson, Jr. (President Emeritus of the Los Angeles City Council) is announcing a Veterans Grocery Giveaway on Friday, May 27th 2020 at the district office at 1819 S Western Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90006.
Recipients must complete an online application prior to arrival. Early registration is strongly advised. If selected, individuals will need to show proof of service in order to participate (i.e. DD 214 or active duty service card or a retirement card is also accepted). Mr. Wesson’s office wants to insure that the food that is designated for veterans, goes to the veterans and senior veterans that are in need at this time.
