*Ice Cube was NOT in the mood to do ABC’s “Good Morning America” this morning to discuss his new movie with Tracee Ellis Ross (“The High Note”).

Instead, the killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis policeman was weighing heavily on his mind, so he canceled.

The rapper/actor then went to Twitter to inform his 4.9 million followers of his last-minute decision.

Ever since his days with NWA, Ice Cube (real name: O’Shea Jackson), has been speaking out on the mistreatment of African Americans and black men in particular who have as targets of police violence.

“How long will we go for Blue on Black Crime before we strike back???” he tweeted.

In another display of his activism via social media, Cube shared a photo of Derek Chauvin, the white cop who killed Floyd, who is Black. Chauvin’s picture is next to a photo of a white supremacist wearing a “Make Whites Great Again” cap. His followers told him the man was not the fired cop, but Jackson wasn’t moved and retweeted his own tweet with this caption:

“The F.B.I. knows exactly who the racist are in each police department and still let them keep there jobs until something like this happens. Stop sitting on critical information. Weed them out and get them out…NOW!”
